TRAINING SEMINARS
Antidiscrimination and Harassment Training Program
The US Supreme Court issued a number of important pronouncements
regarding antidiscrimination and has reinvigorated the importance
of conducting anti-discrimination training programs.
Supervisors set the tone for how seriously employees take discrimination
and the way in which a supervisor deals with a harassment or discrimination
complaint can increase or decrease an entity’s liability.
Our firm has developed an Anti-Discrimination Training Program,
which includes a videotape that provides our clients with practical
methods for dealing with workplace harassment and discrimination.
Our training program covers the following topics:
- What is workplace harassment and discrimination? General discussion
of the EEOC guidelines on what constitutes discrimination and
sexual harassment.
- Examples of conduct that create a hostile working environment.
- Discussion of the EEOC guidelines for acceptable workplace
behavior.
- Brief discussion on the US Supreme Court decision codifying
the law of workplace discrimination.
- Investigating a discrimination complaint.
- EEOC policy instruction – who is responsible for taking
“immediate and appropriate corrective action.” How
quickly should a supervisor respond to a harassment complaint?
- Appropriate strategies for investigating a complaint.
- Concluding the investigation; drafting the report and enforcing
the company’s anti-discrimination policy and procedures.
Individuals who successfully complete the training program will
receive industry standard certification, which evidences compliance
with the EEOC regulatory guidelines. For further information on our
