SUSAN A. EDWARDS

Susan Edwards has previously worked as a probation officer for five years. She has also worked as a Senior Social Worker for nine years in a drug dependency unit, where she was responsible both for developing social work policy and for the delivery of therapeutic social work interventions to intravenous drug-users. Ms. Edwards has offered expert testimony on drug issues in English magistrate and crown courts. She has also lectured extensively with regard to drug policy issues throughout the U.K. and appeared on U.K. national television with respect to this issue. Ms. Edwards has gained valuable litigation experience working with the Women’s Justice Center Family Court Program in White Plains and Yonkers N.Y., The Neighborhood Defenders Service in Harlem N.Y. and the Legal Aid Society in Bronx Criminal Court N.Y. In addition Ms. Edwards has served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Colleen McMahon, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
